I think this is totally out of the current subject.. but I have to ask, ages ago I began scripting for Private servers, I made quests and stuff, some of them good.. what I was doing, was it C++? I honestly have, and had no idea And wow you guys are replying to a post that started in '04 -danshi How dare you to compare stupid athena with c++, go and stop breathing.

Then revolutionary emulator / revemu is coded on Vb 6. Which sucks like hell. why do you say it sucks? Whats more important is the way you code not the programming language. A good suggestion is use the language that you are familiar. And if you have mastered it then you can switch to a much preferable language. But I prefer c/c++ language. /no1

lmao it doesent matter in which languange you code it, yes sure you can't do real time winsockets connections, but you could code your own. Visual Basic can be really eating lots of resources and generally slow at net connections, so you would be supposed to code way much complex... Or you learn c++ for a long time and get the best solution.

Yay. Let's follow the steps of amacc >_> V_V He's right. Look if you learned once vb, basic or whatever you'll be familar with c++ and made it more easier to learn the syntax.

Yes, because VB is pratically easiest and would be the foothold for syntaxes.

A friend of mine learnt VB well, and he recently began learning C++ and told me that he found it rather easy. I guess this proves that of what you stated.
