well we usually need to use proxy for brute forcing or otherwise, and most of the times it is hard to find a working proxy, below is a complete tutorial for getting proxies.....i hope it is simple enough
Ok lets start
First off you need the following files ::
APLCharonThe Proxy LinksOk a brief explanation of what the above software does ::
APL -- Automated Proxy Leecher -- u jus put in the links of the webpages that give proxies, and it automatically extracts all the proxies from them. Sweet aint it.
But remember u need to put the link where the proxies are listed so if it is like
http://www.toywww.com is the main page of the website but the proxy lists are located on
http://www.toywww.com/baibao/proxy_list.shtml u need to enter the second link
Charon -- This is basically a proxy anonymity verifier, once we have leeched all the proxies we jus feed them in this software and voila.
Proxy Links List -- This is a txt file of a lot of proxy list webpages, u can always add your own to it and keep it updated
Ok now to the tutorial ::
Part I --> Getting The ProxiesFirst off we need to install APL, jus unzip/unrar the files and install it.
After intallation is complete run APL, uncheck
Automate Leeching and set the bot timeout at 60 seconds, if you set the default 8 seconds most of the proxies will be timed out.
Ok once this is complete, right-click under the
Site section and click
Load Sites From File, and then browse to where you saved
Proxy Link ListsOnce this is set, jus click
Start and APL will start leeching proxies, now kick back and relax for sometime, doesnt take too long.
once the leeching is complete, right click in the proxy section and select
Save Proxies to FileThats it, now we have a list of loads of proxies, now to verify their anonymity.
Part II --> Verifying The ProxiesNow for this part we need Charon, although there are lots of other Proxy Verifiers, Charon is pretty fast and reliable.
Ok now unzip/unrar the file and install it.
once this is done start the executable and click on
Connect Options, if you are a dialup user set threads to "40" and if you are a broadband user set the threads to "80", put Timeout as 15 and Retry Timeout as 5
well this is the setup, now right click in the Main window of the program and Select
Load Proxies From File and load the file we saved previously after using APL.
After this click on
Check Proxies, now relax for sometime, this process takes a bit of time, on my comp it took around 17 hours
, but its reliable....
Now once the proxy checking is done, click on
filter proxies and click
Filter dodgy / duplicates / gateways.
This will put all the good and working proxies in the bottom of the page.
After this right click on the list, select
Delete, Delete All proxies Apart from Good, Anonymous Proxies(working SOCKS)Well thats it folks, im currently searching for one more piece of software whic does this all in once package.
