How To : Down server

Hi all :]

For complete the guide for dupe items with server down .. i post my guide, who explain how to down server ( thx to Recoil who learnt to me this method ). I decide to share it, because some peoples don't know how to down serv.

Ok, letz go

--------------------------

You need :

- WPE Alpha 0.9
- Server running on eAthena ( i don't know if this exploit is working on others emulators )

Step 1 :

Lauch the game, lauch WPE pro, Select "Target Program", choose your ragnarok client.



Step 2 :

Go away from others peoples, and start recording



Step 3 :

Say another words on ragnarok ( ex : plop )



Step 4 : Stop recording ^^



Step 5 : Now, go the WPE pro, and check the packet what your send when you are say " plop "



( /!\ this must be the SEND packet and not the Recv packet /!\ )

Step 6 : In WPE, Right clic on the send packet, and select " Send ". For this exemple, my name is : Buffer



Step 7 : Now, the exploit : You need to change your name in the packet, look at the next picture :



I have changed my name " Buffer " to " Budder ".

Step 8 : Finally, clik on the Play bottom. Enjoy, server is down :]

With this method, the server be down a short moment. But you can dupe with this exploit.

Yep, your disconected, because the server is down xD

On my server, my server will be down 30-40sec, and restart, others players are too disconnected.

Honestly, eAthena and crashing the server really takes just a creative mind lol...

Most of the time, I recommend just spamming packets involving random npc's, or even words sometimes..

I only tested in one server, where there's no one most of hte time.. and it did work. Downtime after that was about 3 minutes.

becareful if your server runs on sql,it seemed to have messed up the tables on my server when i did the crash dupe XD just keep a look out

the servers sets an autoban for ur ip/account for some minutes or forever

Mhh .. this always works on eAthena RC5.

Actually, on the RC5 servers, they've also set up auto-bans for name-changing methods...

Example: AnimesFuryRO can redeal dupe, but bans you for trying anything involving changing your name in a public chat.

any time the name that says something in game does not match the name that is saying it, it will cause the server to hang and crash. You can do it with Behelit too because when u type in the thing u wanna say, it says it in game w/o ur name attached to it, causing the server to crash. However, I believe it has been patched in SVN for sure.
